This course may be repeated for a maximum of six credits. Students are placed in organizations that offer supervised work or research experience appropriate to their interests. Each student must work 150 clock hours in the organization and write a sociological analysis of experiences using appropriate fieldwork methodological techniques.

Nine credits of 300-level courses in Spanish (including those specifically required for certain courses) are prerequisites to all the following courses.
