Includes the operation of basic and secondary control systems, coupling and uncoupling a tractor and trailer, cargo handling, and the proper method of conducting a pre-trip inspection. Covers applicable federal regulations including hours of service requirements and Commercial Driver's Licensing (CDL) requirements and distribution channels. Also includes methods of managing speed effectively, responding to road and weather conditions, and accident scene management. Safety is a key component.
