1 credit A fun and active class designed for all ages and fitness levels. Progressive development of flexibility, core strength, cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance utilizing state of the art fitness equipment in the LCC Fitness Education Center. Instructor led activities include use of a wide variety of cardio machines, Free Motion, Cybex and Paramount weight machines, functional training equipment including stability balls, circuits, body weight resistance exercises, and more.

1 credit This class encourages individuals to participate in regular exercise with weight control as a goal. Exercise principles, nutritional information and fitness assessments will be provided. Progressive development of cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility will be emphasized.

1 credit A lifetime activity for all ages, exercise walking develops and maintains cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance and joint flexibility. Develop pace, form and endurance with walks on campus, track, trails, roads and hills. Progressive individualized programs given.

1 credit This course is designed to improve cardiorespiratory fitness and muscular endurance, while enhancing cycling skills and mechanics. Workout sessions are performed on specialized stationary cycles and are led by an instructor. Students exercise to music using a variety of cycling positions and drills. This class is designed to accommodate a variety of fitness levels: beginner-intermediate.

1 credit An instructor lead circuit training class for all ages and fitness levels. Students participate in exercise circuits to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance and flexibility. Body weight resistance exercises, weight machines and cardiovascular machines will all be used. Nutrition and weight control ideas and concepts will be addressed.

1 credit A well-rounded, self-paced fitness education program. Students complete a mandatory orientation including health screening, exercise program information and equipment instruction. Following orientation, students attend exercise sessions during FEC usage hours to fulfill course requirements and meet personal fitness goals. The FEC offers students instructional assistance in personalized exercise programming, wellness seminars, an incentive program, and opportunities for fitness development and stress management. Optional fitness assessments determine individual strengths and weaknesses in cardiovascular fitness, overall body strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Students can receive a printout of fitness assessment results and recommendations. All participants are encouraged in a supportive and noncompetitive environment. 0 credits Students registered for Fitness Education: Introduction must register for this one time, mandatory orientation. This one hour and 50 minute orientation covers course policies, general fitness information and an orientation to all of the equipment in the Fitness Education Center.

1 credit Continuation of student's individual exercise programs. For students who have completed the introductory section; students can participate in all of the Fitness Education Center offerings.

1 credit Emphasis on a progressive jogging program starting with a basic understanding of one's current fitness level. Individualized programs will be developed accordingly. Flexibility, running technique, injury prevention, work-out ideas, nutrition and weight control will be addressed.

1 credit Students will perform conditioning exercises with a focus on core stability and improvement of muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Light weights, resistance bands and weighted balls will be used to compliment the fitness workout.
