Uses a variety of input methods, such as CD ROM dictation, voice recognition software, and printed rough drafts. Develops basic skill in the transcription of recorded documents. Stresses application of language arts skills. Develops the skill to produce documents accurately within specifi ed timed guidelines and touch type at a minimum of 40 words per minute on 3-minute timings (with specifi ed error limits). Includes proper use of measuring tools, the use of appropriate charts and tables including decimal equivalent and drill and tap selection with speed and feed calculations.
