The content also includes the nursing care opf the family experiencing the stressors accompanying the illness of one of its members, with biological, psychosocial, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions.

Prerequisites: NURS 403, NURS 430/432, NURS 440/446, NURS 498 Co-requisites: NURS 464 This course focuses on the psychiatric-mental health needs of the individual and family. Biological, psychological, and emotional systems will be emphasized. Development of nursing knowledge and skill for intervention with social-emotional balances and imbalances in the lifespan will be explored. Stress, adaptation, communication, and personality development are emphasized. Behavioral and cognitive concepts, crisis theory, and mental health theories are explored.
