    Prerequisites: MAT 070, MAT 080, MAT 090, MAT 095, MAT 120, MAT 121, MAT 161, MAT 171, or MAT 175 This course provides an activity-based approach to utilizing, interpreting, and communicating data in a variety of measurement systems. Topics include accuracy, precision, conversion, and estimation within metric, apothecary, and avoirdupois systems; ratio and proportion; measures of central tendency and dispersion; and charting of data. Upon completion, students should be able to apply proper techniques to gathering, recording, manipulating, analyzing, and communicating data. S20801

Topics include applications to percent, ratio and proportion, formulas, statistics, function notation, linear functions, probability, sampling techniques, scatter plots, and modeling. Upon completion, students should be able to solve practical problems, reason and communicate with mathematics, and work confidently, collaboratively, and independently. S20802

    Prerequisites: MAT 070 or MAT 080 This course provides an integrated approach to technology and the skills required to manipulate, display, and interpret mathematical functions and formulas used in problem solving. Topics include simplification, evaluation, and solving of algebraic and radical functions; complex numbers; right triangle trigonometry; systems of equations; and the use of technology. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the use of mathematics and technology to solve problems and analyze and communicate results. S20804

Topics may include, but are not limited to, sets, logic, probability, statistics, matrices, mathematical systems, geometry, topology, mathematics of finance, and modeling. Upon completion, students should be able to understand a variety of mathematical applications, think logically, and be able to work collaboratively and independently.
