Among the topics studied will be the role of legislatures; the impact of constituencies, parties, interest groups, interpersonal relationships and other pressures on legislators; legislative structure; and the decision-making process.

Emphasis will be placed on the powers, roles, decisionmaking processes, and institutional development of the offices of president, governor, and mayor.
