3 cr. Safety in electrical maintenance. Electrical test equipment. Low and high voltage circuit breakers and switchgear, splices and terminations in cables and conductors. Electromagnetic induction review, DC fundamentals, DC motor maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repair of DC systems and equipment, DC generator maintenance and conduit installation and fabrication. Restricted to majors.

AC fundamentals review, maintenance of AC generator, single phase AC induction motor, AC motor controller, transformer and synchronous motor and controller, motor branch circuit protection. Troubleshooting and emergency repair of AC systems and equipment. Prerequisite: OEIE 110. Restricted to majors.

3 cr. Reading electrical diagrams, three phase AC induction motor maintenance, storage batteries and chargers, motor operators in the generating power plant. Basic electronics and power supplies. Transistor principles, amplifiers. Oscillators and specialized power plant electronic devices. Prerequisites: OEIE 110 and OEIE 180. Restricted to majors.

3 cr. Operational amplifiers, vacuum tubes and circuits, electronic test equipment. Cable and wire terminations, circuit board repair, electronic control systems and electronic process control diagrams in a generating power plant. Prerequisites: OEIE 110, OEIE 180, and OEIE 210.
