A study of the automobile brake system from the simple friction block brake to the modern anti-lock power braking system. Includes hand tool recognition and proper use, complete rebuild of the brake system components including the hydraulic, brake drum and pads, disc brakes, and the removal of all components including hoses, cylinders, pads, steel lines, and springs. Study procedures to accomplish a complete four wheel alignment and tire balance along with diagnosing and repair of steering and suspension. Corequisite: AM 021.
