Various techniques are explored by integrating a minimum of 4 different software, including, but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Quark, and Dreamweaver. Creative solutions are encouraged through design principles and elements. Students output printed images for fine art presentation as well as for Web presentation. The final project in this course is an edition of 4 hand-produced books using page layout software on the computer. All exercises leading up to final project are geared toward composition of text and image on a page for print. Students learn layout software, composition skills, printing skills, and organizational skills, preparation for sequential art, animation and storyboarding, and portfolio presentation. InDesign or QuarkXpress are the primary software. Photoshop and Illustrator are also used. Prerequisites EIMA 1110 or PHOT 1210
