Examines professional nursing within the health care delivery system incorporating the conceptual framework of the Nursing Department at MWSU. Includes examination of the historical development and theoretical basis of the current practice of professional nursing. In-depth study of nursing process with emphasis on the assessment phase for persons in varied health care settings and of all age groups. Four hours lecture, three hours clinical each week. Prerequisites: ADN with RN licences and admisstion to the department.
