(Prerequisite: BlO 2511, 2513, 2521, 2523 with a grade of C or better in each course, and SOC 2113; Corequisite: NUR 1140; Pre/Corequisite: ENG 1113, PSY 1513) Within the framework of the nursing process and across the lifespan, the focus of this course is on concepts related to nursing as a profession, community, communication, health assessment, and psychomotor skills essential to basic nursing care, and care of clients experiencing sensory disorders. (5 hr lecture, 12 hrs lab)

(Prerequisite: Two (2) semesters of Nursing) Provides the nursing student the opportunity to practice basic nursing skills and apply cognitive knowledge in the practice of nursing under the supervision of an adjunct faculty member while earning monetary compensation. (Requires 40 hours per week for 10 weeks)

(Corequisite: Must be enrolled in a Nursing Science Course.) Course focus is on personal and professional development with emphasis on leadership concepts and professional responsibilities. Opportunities are provided for participation in service learning activities of the college, community and professional nursing organizations. (1 credit hr awarded only at the completion of NUR 2241.)

(Prerequisite: NUR 1119) This course provides the student with the opportunity to explore healthcare experiences with healthcare providers and recipients from various cultural backgrounds. Students will gain valuable components of learning processes relating to culturally diverse communities with emphasis on holistic care. (Lecture and lab hours will vary depending on the selected experiences.)
