Includes laws and law enforcement, society, populations victimized, and diagnosis and treatment techniques. Also includes community resources, treatment centers, and support groups, cultural awareness, special populations at risk, and theories explaining the prevalence of domestic violence.

Includes the definitions, dynamics, symptoms, risks, and effects of the various forms of child maltreatment and emphasizes prevention and utilization of community resources. Also includes the process of intervention by society, the roles of various professionals in the investigation, adjudication, treatment, and case management of child abuse cases.
