This course will provide the medical assisting student with skills beyond the basic introductory course. This will be an overview of advanced skills. This requires the medical assistant student to integrate and apply knowledge and skills from all previous medical assistant courses in actual patient care settings. Students will perform medical assistant administrative, clinical, and laboratory duties under the supervision of a mentor to effectively transition to the role of a medical assistant.
