The course will focus on how culture and other diversity topics affect interactions with others. Through an interactive format, the course will assist students to gain an increased awareness of, and an appreciation for, the dimensions related to their own culture and to the cultures of others. Students will have the opportunity to examine and analyze the impact of prejudice, discrimination, and privilege within self and between groups. The skills necessary for promoting positive human relations in a diverse society will be explored and developed. Prerequisite: Language proficiency or consent of instructor
