This is the first of a two-tiered course offered only to senior Marketing Communications majors. By using the project from the American Advertising Federation's College Challenge Program, this course provides students with an opportunity to develop a national, fully-integrated marketing communications plan for a major marketing organization using all of the promotional mix elements. Students are given promotional budgets with which to work to develop a marketing position strategy from which all elements (including advertising, public relations, sales promotion, direct marketing and personal selling) are integrated into a cohesive communications program. The creative product must reflect an integrated communications concept and theme. Students also implement a public relations, sales promotion and direct marketing strategy that coordinates to reflect a seamless communications program. Prerequisite: ADVC4015.
