Students attain a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute with a maximum of 5 errors on a 5 minute timed keyboarding test. Topics include building speed and accuracy, formatting and producing business documents, language arts, and proofreading. Laboratory practice parallels class instruction. Prerequisite: BUS 101

Topics include office protocol, time management, telecommunications and telephone techniques, office equipment, workplace mail, records management, travel/meeting arrangements, electronic mail, and workplace documents.
