    Banner Title: Clinical Practice VI This course provides students with an opportunity for in-depth application and reinforcement of adult intensive care, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, advanced diagnostics, and rehabilitation and home care. Topics include initiation of mechanical ventilation, patient stabilization, critical care monitoring, hemodynamic measurement and evaluation, bronchial hygiene, weaning mechanics, extubation, arterial line samples, advanced diagnostics, pediatric and neonatal respiratory care, and rehabilitation and home care. Prerequisite: RTT 220 with a grade of C or better, RTT 217 with a grade of C or better, RTT 227 with a grade of C or better, RTT 215 with a grade of C or better Students who have superior performance all college course work within the Athens Technical College Respiratory Therapy Curriculum are eligible to apply for a remote internship at a clinical facility outside of the standard Athens Technical College clinical facilities defined as clinical facilities which have students from RTT 209, RTT 210, RTT 218, RTT 219, RTT 220.     Banner Title: Intro to Surgical Technology This course provides an overview of the sur gical technology profession and develops the fundamental concepts and principles necessary to participate on a surgical team. Topics include orientation to surgical technology, asepsis and the surgical environment, principles of the sterilization process, basic instrumentation and equipment, and application of sterilization principles. Students must pay a $25 supply fee when registering for this course.
