3 Semester Hours Required for students with ACT math score less than 16 or ACCUPLACER arithmetic score less than 85. This course allows students to improve basic mathematical skills. Topics include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.

3 Semester Hours Prerequisite: MTH 090 if required This course is required for students with an ACT Math score of less than 19 or an ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score of less than 84. Introductory Algebra I is designed to prepare students for college mathematics applications. Topics include performing real number operations; reading, writing, and evaluating algebraic expressions; solving and graphing linear equations and inequalities; and systems of linear equations.

3 Semester Hours MTH 095 if required. This course is required for students after completing MTH 095. A review of basic concepts of algebra, Introductory Algebra II is designed to prepare students for college mathematics applications. Topics include factoring, solving quadratic equations; simplifying radicals and rational expressions; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing polynomial expressions, using the power rules of integer exponents; using the power rules of integer exponents.

4 Semester Hours Prerequisite: MTH 090 if required. Required for students with ACT math score of less than 19 or an ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score of less than 84. A review of basic concepts of algebra, this course is designed to prepare students for college mathematics applications. Topics include real number operations, factoring, solving equations and inequalities, and graphing linear equations.

3 Semester Hours Prerequisite: RDG 090 and MTH 090, MTH 095 & MTH 096 OR MTH 099 OR minimum acceptable test scores for placement in college-level reading and math courses: 1) Math ACT score 19 or higher; 2) SAT math score 460 or higher; 3) ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score of 84 or greater. This course emphasizes how math is used in the world of business. General arithmetic procedures will be reviewed and applied to specific business applications. Problem-solving techniques will also be presented. This course does not meet the mathematics requirements for AA or AS majors.

A study of several topics in mathematics including probability and statistics, measurement systems, formula manipulation and equation solving, geometry, and consumer math with a focus on applications throughout the course.

A study of linear and absolute value equations and inequalities in one and two variables; polynomial operations and graphing; linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions with application and graphing; and formula manipulation. This course is designed to prepare students for college algebra or career opportunities.

4 Semester Hours Prerequisite: RDG 090 and MTH 090, MTH 095 & MTH 096 OR MTH 099 OR minimum acceptable test scores for placement in college level math: 1) Math ACT score 23 or higher; 2) SAT math score 540 or higher; 3) ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score of 84 or greater. This is a comprehensive introduction to the mathematics needed to be successful in a technical field of study. Includes topics from basic algebraic equations to trigonometry and computer math. Topics covered include: algebraic equations, powers of 10, metric system, factoring, graphs, simultaneous equations, determinants, exponents and radicals, quadratic equations, trigonometry functions, trigonometry identities and equations, periodic functions, phasor algebra, logarithms, and computer math.

3 semester Hours Prerequisite: MTH 123 or a score of 23 or above on the math component of the ACT. A study of trigonometric functions and their applications including an exploration of right triangle trigonometry, circular functions, graphs of trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, vectors, and polar coordinates.

3 Semester Hours Prerequisite: MTH 123 OR minimum acceptable test scores for placement in college-level math: 1) Math ACT score 23 or higher; 2) SAT math score 540 or higher; 3) Accuplacer 112 or higher. Covers systems of equations, theory and application of matrices and determinants, theory of equations, complex numbers, graphs of relations and functions, sequences and series, the binomial theorem, and mathematical induction.
