Develops skills and behaviors necessary for successful supervision of people and job responsibilities. Emphasis will be placed on personnel management, the basic supervisory functions, supervisory skills and techniques, and the special challenges and demands of supervising employees. Topics include: management theories, including total quality management; motivation, supervision, and evaluation of employees; recruitment, screening, and selection of employees; supervision techniques; and functions of management.

Introduces the study of contracts and other business obligations in the legal environment. Topics include: creation and evolution of laws, court decision processes, sales contracts, commercial papers, risk-bearing devices, and Uniform Commercial Code.

Provides students with skills necessary to communicate with customers and successfully manage that relations in both telephone and face-to-face situations. Topics include: skills to effectively communicate with customers, development repport with customers, problem-solving in customer service, telephoen skills, sales skills in the serve environment, managing the difficult customer and managing.

Provides students with the fundamentals ofcomputer skills in a customer serivce enroironment. Topics include: introduction to computer technology, introduction to the Windows environment, introduction to work processing, introduction to spreadsheets, introduction to databases, introduction to E-mal and credit care processing.

Topics include: introduction to business correspondence, basic business calcuations, change management, managing multiple tasks and priorities, and tools for team problem-solving and service improvement.
