The use of Toyota electronic service information, the proper diagnostic process, and proper diagnostic service tools are emphasized. Recommended prerequisite: AUSV 1000.

The use of Toyota electronic service information, the proper diagnostic process, and proper diagnostic service tools is emphasized. (AUSV 1360, AUSV 2160 are equivalent to AUSV SI1365.)

Operation, diagnosis and repair of selected automotive systems, as well as general auto shop orientation for beginners and non-automotive majors.

2.00 Credits
This course will introduce students to hybrid and electric vehicles, proper safety tools and procedures, and basic high voltage components. Basic electrical theory will be explained and showcased in this course. Diagnostic theory and operation will be covered as well as service disconnect procedures and component validation testing.Upon completion of this course, student can sit in on "xEV Electrical Safety Awareness Certification - Level 1 Standard" certification provided by ASE

Open to all first year students in Automotive Service. Provides academic credit for on-the-job experience. Grade and amount of credit will be determined by the department.

Theory, operation, diagnosis, and repair of automotive fuel systems, OBD-II and Tier-2 emission control systems, and ignition systems. Including evaluation of engine condition.Upon completion of this course, student can sit in on "A1 Engine repair and A8 Engine Performance" certification provided by ASEUpon completion of this course and AUSV 2100 Body Communication, student can sit in on "A7 Heating and Air Conditioning systems. (Depending on which one is finished last in the degree path)" certification provided by ASEUpon completion of this course and the required work experience as set by ASE, student can sit in on "L1 Advanced Engine performance" certification provided by ASE.

Theory, operation, diagnosis, and repair of Honda automotive fuel systems, OBD-II and Tier-2 emission control systems, and ignition systems. (AUSV 1130, AUSV 2030 are equivalent to AUSV 2635.)
