IDT 4020: Commercial Design

Applying the design process to commercial design projects is the focus of this course. Contract, hospitality, healthcare, and global projects are emphasized in which students apply codes knowledge and commercial design strategies and specification of commercial-grade finishes and furnishings. Design charettes and national competition participation are featured as part of this course.

IDT 4025: Senior Program Development

The first of a two-part series for the senior student that produces a comprehensive project that features residential, contract, hospitality and healthcare design emphasis along with a research component. The first four phases of the design process are embarked upon in this semester. The senior student must take IDT 4030 in the same academic year following completion of IDT 4025. Local and national competition participation are featured as part of this course. Instructor approval required for registration for this course.
