Topics include emotional development, aggression, identity and achievement, attachment, gender role development, and familial and extrafamilial influences on development. Prerequisite: PSYC 1315.

These issues will be approached from different perspectives within psychology, including clinical, developmental, social, health, and cognitive psychology. Prerequisite: PSYC 1315. The theoretical approaches considered include the psychoanalytic, neo-Freudian, trait, biological, humanistic, behavioral social/learning, and cognitive approaches. Prerequisite: PSYC 1315.

An introduction to the anatomical structures and physiological processes that determine behavior. Topics include the acquisition and processing of sensory information, the neural control of movement, and the biological bases of complex behaviors (such as learning, memory, sex, language, and addiction), as well as the basic functioning of the nervous system. Offered as BIOL 3322 and PSYC 3322. Credit will be granted only once. BIOL 3322 prerequisite: BIOL 1441, 1442. PSYC 3322 prerequisite: BIOL 1441 or PSYC 1315.
