This course deals with the fundamentals of art, including theory and practice of drawing, painting, and designing, using various media. A beginning course investigating a variety of media, techniques, and subjects, including descriptive and expressive possibilities. Subjects include still life, landscape and the model using additive and subtractive processes. This course will explore perceptual and descriptive possibilities with a consideration of drawing as a developmental process as well as an end to itself.
