This course emphasizes such things as appropriate communication between and among managers and employees. A study of the child, family, community, and schools, including parent education and involvement, family and community lifestyles, child abuse, and current family life issues. Course content must be aligned as applicable with State Board of Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards. Requires students to participate in field experiences with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations. Course includes a minimum of 16 hours of field experiences. A study of the relationship between the child, the family, the community, and early childhood educators, including a study of parent education, family and community lifestyles, child abuse, and current issues. Focus on local and national standards and legal implications of relevant policies and regulations. Course content must be aligned as applicable with State Board for Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards. Course requires students to participate in field experiences with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations and includes a minimum of 16 hours of field experiences. Course is a study of nutrition, health, safety, and related activities, including skill development in management of issues, guidelines, and practices in nutrition, as well as community health, hygiene, safety, and legal implications.
