Course content is aligned with State Board for Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards. Requires students to participate in a minimum of 15 hours of field experience with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations. Career-related activities encountered in the student's area of specialization offered through an individualized agreement among the college, employer, and student. Under the supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. Includes a lecture component. Directly related to a technical discipline, specific learning objectives guide the student through the paid work experience. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary.
