(Formerly DRFT 2433, DFTG 2410) This course is a study of structural systems including concrete foundations and frames, wood framing and trusses, and structural steel framing systems, including detailing of concrete, wood, and steel to meet industry standards of the American Institute of Steel Construction and The American Concrete Institute. This is an introductory study of design development relating to graphic design terminology, tools, media, and layout and design concepts. Topics include integration of type, images, and other design elements, and developing computer skills in industry standard computer programs. Students will not receive credit for both ARTC 1317 and ARTS 2313. Prerequisites: ARTC 1325 or ARTS 2348 or concurrent enrollment with ARTC 1325 or ARTS 2348 with department chair approval. (3:2-4)

Topics include the creation and modification of 3-D geometric shapes; variety of rendering techniques; and use of camera light sources, texture, and surface mapping.
