GEOL 1401: Physical Geology

A study of the natural environment of man and the nature of material composing the earth, including the processes by which they are formed, altered, transported, and distorted. Various aspects of our oceans and the earth's atmosphere are included. This course is normally taught as a classroom course but in some instances it may consist of an extended fi eld trip to different geological regions of the United States or Mexico. In such instances, enrollment will be limited and will require permission of the instructor. Expenses will be shared by the participants. Laboratory fee. Fall.

A study of Air Force customs, courtesies, drill and ceremonies, career opportunities in the Air Force, and the life and work of an Air Force offi cer. An extensive physical fi tness program is taught, reinforced, and evaluated. Students under contract with AFROTC must pass a physical fi tness test (sit-ups, push-ups, 1.5 mile run) each term. Non-contract students must attempt the physical fi tness test each term. Field trips to Air Force installations are also included. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in AERO 1101.
