    Human anatomy and its application to the motion of the musculoskeletal system as it relates to normal activities and dysfunctions. Learning Outcomes: Identify, locate, and categorize the musculoskeletal and neurological structures of the human body; and define and describe normal and abnormal movement. Co-requisite: PTHA 1409

    Biophysical principles and application of therapeutic physical agents with specific emphasis on indications, contraindications, medical efficacy, and physiological effects. Learning Outcomes: Apply physical agents; utilize appropriate data collection techniques to monitor response to treatment; and discuss biophysical principles as they relate to the application of physical agents. Prerequisites: PTHA 1409 and PTHA 1413. Co-requisites: PTHA 2509 and PTHA 1405

    A capstone course which engages the student in the discussion of professional issues and behaviors related to clinical practice and which prepares the student for transition into the workforce. Successful completion of a comprehensive examination including information from all previous courses to date will be required to pass this course. Learning Outcomes: Discuss licensure and job acquisition skills; discriminate appropriate behaviors in response to various legal, ethical, and professional interactions; and discuss socioeconomic influences related to the field of physical therapy. Prerequisites: All PTHA professional course work to date.

    A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. Learning Outcomes: As outlined in the learning plan, apply the theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the business/industry and will demonstrate legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the business/industry. Prerequisites: All PTHA professional course work to date.

    A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts.     Advanced course integrating previously learned and new skills/techniques into the comprehensive rehabilitation of selected neurological disorders. Learning Outcomes: Analyze the concepts and principles of comprehensive management of neurological disorders; demonstrate implementation and modification of a comprehensive treatment approach for neurological disorders; and utilize relevant communication techniques. Prerequisites: PTHA 1360. Co-requisites: PTHA 2535, PTHA 1321, and PTHA 1391

    Concepts, principles, and application of techniques related to therapeutic exercise and functional training. Learning Outcomes: Identify and utilize the theory, principles, and techniques of therapeutic exercise; demonstrate performance of and instruction in therapeutic exercise and functional training for various patient populations; discuss the rationale for the application and modification of therapeutic exercise; and utilize relevant communication techniques. Prerequisites: PTHA 1409 and PTHA 1413. Co-requisites: PTHA 1405 and PTHA 1531
