CB 2311015112 Designed for students in all careers, this course emphasizes the practical application of composition principles in the writing of documents typically required in various professions. Selected readings and a research paper are required. Prerequisite: ENGL 1301. LCC offers three 6-hour credit surveys of English literature (2322 and 2323), World literature (2332 and 2333), and American literature (2327 and 2328). Students should consult the catalogue of the university to which they plan to transfer to determine which survey course is most appropriate. Generally, any of the three surveys is acceptable. Students who need 6 credits of sophomore English should take both halves of the same survey and not mix surveys. Part one of a survey should be taken first, but students may elect to take the second part before the first, if they so desire.
