Topics include the history of respiratory care, hospital organization, medical malpractice, ethics, vital signs, body mechanics, basic cardiopulmonary assessment, infection control, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Emphasis on product cost analysis, yields, pricing formulas, controls and record keeping at each state of the purchasing cycle.
