Emphasis on pathogenic bacteria and fungi, their sources, methods of culture, techniques of identification, and evaluation of antibiotic sensitivity. Includes analysis of blood and other body fluids for blood gas content, electrolytes, enzymes, hormones, therapeutic drugs, toxicology, and other constituents of clinical interest, utilizing both automated and manual techniques.
