Prerequisite: SPAN 2020 or equivalent. This is a community-based course which provides students with the knowledge and skills to effectively interact with members of Spanishspeaking communities in both social and professional contexts. This course teaches cultural competence and diversity through an interdisciplinary approach involving students and faculty in the promotion of cordial, supportive, and meaningful relationships between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking community members. Students complete substantial field experience in Spanish-speaking communities.
