Prerequisites: SPAN 3003 and 3113. This is a Writing Intensive (WI) course that teaches basic translation skills through an interdisciplinary approach. Grammar-based written exercises and English/Spanish and Spanish/English translations from various professional fields are assigned and corrected in class. A ten (10) hour service-learning requirement involves students in a project that promotes cordial, supportive, and meaningful relationships between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking community members.
