Middle level education is that segment of education that encompasses early adolescence during the stage of life between the ages of 10 and 15. Middle schools must be grounded in the diverse characteristics and needs of these young people. The primary intent of this course is to minimize the gap between education theory and realities of dealing with students at this critical stage of life. In addition, the course content and activities will assist aspiring teachers in developing middle level education practices that are responsive to the special needs of children during these formative years.
