The course emphasizes the integration of the computer with sensor circuitry, and motor control. Topics covered include circuitry, computer systems, techniques in motor control, and techniques in computer I/O. Unique Course This course provides the student with information about motors and motor controls. The course content includes the theory and operation of the various types of AC and DC motors. Also studied are a number of special motors (synchronous, stepper, permanent magnet, etc.). Furthermore, the course provides information about electromechanical and electronic motor controls.
