Unique Course The course will allow a student to learn the basics of two new information gathering and processing systems. Global Positioning Systems (GPS) allow a student to learn to determine their position as well as precisely record the location of any attribute anywhere in the world. The Geographic Information System (GIS) component will allow the student to create maps by using GPS, or by importing and modifying maps from data bases. Students will participate in a field project. Additional Fee: An additional 'Mandatory Fee' applies to this course.3 semester hours
