This course aims at developing students' basic communicative language skills: reading, writing, listening, speaking as well as cultural awareness of the Arabic-speaking world which emphasizes the links between language, culture, history and Arab societies. Focus will also be put on highlighting deviations and intelligibility between Modern Standard Arabic and various Arabic dialects.
