4839. Seminar in Art Education. Discussions of emerging critical issues and topics of interest in art education including problems of the prospective teacher involving plant facilities, budget and supplies, professional dispositions, ethics, and state mandated licensure exams. Candidates' plan and display student works on campus. As a culminating experience, the teacher candidate will assemble and present a comprehensive professional portfolio in preparation for a job search and/or graduate school. Prereq.: ART 3737. Seminar topics are based on research and theory related to art pedagogy, classroom management, cultural bias, academic language, differentiation, collaboration, and reflection.
