4841. Supervised Student Teaching Primary/Primary Intervention Specialist. Sixteen week supervised clinical teaching experience, in licensure area, which provides the candidate an opportunity to apply knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to effectively teach in diverse classrooms. CR/NC. Semester Credit Hours: 1-10. Co-requisite ELIS 4842. Coreq.: ELIS 4842. Prereq.: TELS Upper Division Status with a minimum overall GPA 2.75, a minimum content GPA 2.67 and professional education GPA 2.67, passing scores on OAE tests prior to the start of the student teaching semester (to include ACTFL for foreign language majors), criminal background check, and successful completion of respective preclinical experiences. 1 - 10 s.h.

4842. Student Teaching Seminar in Primary/Primary Intervention Specialists Education. Student Teaching seminar provides an opportunity to explore, in-depth, relevant issues to include teaching and learning. Topics are based on pedagogy, knowledge, and application of professional and ethical practice and OSTP standards, research and theory, knowledge of learners, and reflection on practice. Completion of edTPA is required. CR/NC. Corequisite ELIS 4841. Prereq.: TELS Upper Division Status and admission to student teaching. 2 s.h.

By exploring science teaching practices and technologies for grades 4-5, the candidates will review teaching methods of science, master the content stated in the Ohio Academic Learning Standards, find and design science programs and lessons, incorporate the national and state standards in teaching science, and strengthen the assessment methods for the science classroom instruction. 2 s.h.

1500. Emergency Medical Technician. Provides the basic knowledge and skills to be an Emergency Medical Technician. Meets all National Highway and Safety administration National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards and the State of Ohio Approved Emergency Medical Services Curriculum Standards for the Emergency Medical Technician. Must be taken concurrently with EMS 1500L and EMS 1500C. 4 s.h.

1500C. Emergency Medical Technician Clinical and Field Internship. Clinical and Field Internship experience necessary to acquire the skills required to be an Emergency Medical Technician.
