3 HOURS Use computer software (Excel) to understand and solve problems that facilitate connection among equations, tables, and graphs. Emphasis on linear functions, quadratic functions, systems of linear equations, and on powers and roots. Not open to students having credit in MATH 102, or any math course numbered above MATH 102. For students with little or no background in algebra. Does not satisfy any graduation requirement. (Fall, Spring, with suf cient demand)

4 HOURS Properties of the real number system, factoring, linear and quadratic functions, polynomials and rational expressions, inequalities, systems of equations, exponents and radicals, quadratic equations. (Fall, Spring)

3 HOURS Applications of quadratic equations, relations and functions, equations and inequalities, complex numbers, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations, matrices and determinants, sequences and summation.
