Required for honors in Spanish. Same as SPA 391. P-POI. The department offers a year in Spain at Salamanca, the site of a well-established Spanish university. Students go as a group in the fall and/or spring semesters, accompanied by a professor from the College. No particular major is required for eligibility. However, students (1) should normally be of junior standing, (2) must have completed one course beyond SPN 214, and (3) should be approved by both their major department and the Department of Romance Languages. Interested students should contact Professor Candelas S. Gala in the Romance Languages department. As part of the University of Salamanca PEI program (Programa Especial Integrado), students may take regular courses with Spanish students in the following disciplines: anthropology, business, economics, education, linguistics, psychology, and translation/interpretation.
