Advanced Digital Video is designed as a continuation of Moving Images. The goal of the course is to introduce students to more advanced concepts of digital video making in both the technical and conceptual realms. Students will learn to control the finer aspects of video pre-production in order to become capable producers and directors. They will also be instructed in more advanced aspects of Final Cut Pro and will be encouraged to master their editing techniques. As the students become more capable technically, the class will serve as a forum for a video artist to practice the manifestation of artistic idea into moving media. Students will be required to produce a significant final project that will be ready for gallery presentation or theatric screening. Ultimately students will become more prepared for professional jobs in video production and participation in the art world after school. Studio Elective
