This course is designed to provide student teachers with a better understanding of art education programs and to provide support and resources needed for success in the student teacher placements. Emphasis will be on the student teachers' work in their placements and discussions in class that focus on enriching the content and creativity of the lesson, providing instruction for special needs students, multicultural issues and incorporating art history, interdisciplinary content, art criticism and aesthetics.
