Prerequisite: Grade of "C-" or higher in BCA-216, CSC-110, or CSC-140.

Topics to be covered include spreadsheet editing, working with multiple worksheets, creating a Web page from a spreadsheet, developing spreadsheet applications, creating and using macros, using data tables and scenario management, importing data, and enhancing a spreadsheet with Visual Basic for Applications. Prerequisite: Grade of "C-" or higher in BCA-216,CSC-110, or CSC-140.

Topics to be covered include designing custom forms and reports, creating advanced queries, integrating a database with the Web, automating tasks with macros, writing Visual Basic for Applications code, and managing and securing a database. Prerequisite: Grade of "C-" or higher in BCA-216, CSC-110, or CSC-140.

Lec. 2 Lab. 4 Credit 4 This course covers basic fundamentals of MS Office applications from the point of view of the computer support person. In addition to learning how to use each of the applications, the student will learn the basics of troubleshooting problems in each application. Using MS Word, the student will create, edit, format, print and save documents. The basic rules of giving presentations will be covered and the student will create, edit and enhance presentations using MS PowerPoint. With MS Excel, the student will build spreadsheets and use formulas, formatting, graphs and lists. Basic concepts of database will be included and the student will create and edit database information using MS Access. No prior experience with MS Office software in necessary to succeed in this course. Hands-on test-out is available for this course.
