ELM 370: Connections Seminar I The Elementary Classroom and School Community

This course introduces preservice teachers to the world of public school classrooms, the tasks of teaching, and to their perspectives regarding a career in teaching. Examines relationships between theory and practice of teaching in mathematics, science, literacy, and assessment. Weekly fieldwork in schools and related settings is required 3 hours a week. Students are responsible for transportation to and from their school based experiences.
