CE 413: Design of Concrete Structures

This course focuses on the mechanics and design of components of reinforced concrete structures and builds upon the knowledge gained in CE 311. Extensive use of the ACI 318 design code is made. Topics include concrete and reinforcement properties, slender beams, deep beams, T-beams, shear, torsion, columns, one- and two-way slabs, walls, footings, and reinforcement splicing and development lengths.
