    Prerequisite: INFO-2431 Th is course teaches students, through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, textbook exercises and classroom labs, the skills and knowledge necessary to help prepare them to take Microsoft certifi cation exam 70-293: Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure and to become a Microsoft Certifi ed Professional (MCP) or a Microsoft Certifi ed Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Th e course is intended for anyone who wants to learn how to install, confi gure, administer and support the primary networking services in the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system, as well as for those individuals seeking Microsoft certifi cation. Th e course begins by examining basic TCP/IP networking concepts. Subsequent chapters are devoted to core Windows Server 2003 networking services, such as Domain Name System (DNS), Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) and Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) and to network security technologies succh as digital certifi cates and the IP security (IPSec) extensions.     Prerequisite: INFO-2431 or instructor consent Th is course teaches students through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, textbook exercises and classroom labs. Students learn the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to take the Microsoft 70-294 exam. Th e 70-294 exam is one of the core required exams in the Microsoft Certifi ed Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifi cation track. Students work with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory services in planning, implementing and maintaining forests, sites, domains and organizational units (OUs) that meet the accessibility, performance and security goals of a business plan. In addition, students use Group Policy to deploy soft ware and confi gure a computer or user environment. Understanding the design process, required components and the integration of technologies are key elements in this course. Th is course was developed for students who aspire to careers as systems engineers, systems analysts, or high-level systems administrators on Windows Server 2003, some of who may also be interested in taking the Microsoft 70-297 exam. Successful completion of the 70-297 exam fulfi lls the design credit within the MCSE certifi cation core. Th e 70-297 exam is one of the available design exams in the Microsoft Certifi ed Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifi cation track. Th e instructor for this course is certifi ed by Microsoft . Th ese internship programs provide students valuable hands on learning experiences in aspects of the operations of assigned partners. Th is internship program off ers students the opportunity to apply information from classes to real life experiences. Students will be able to explore career opportunities and gain practical work experience that can be invaluable in the job market, especially if the student intends to pursue a career in information technology upon graduation.
