Encourages the development and application of effective and efficient strategies for learning mathematics. Introduces tools that support assessing mathematics knowledge and encourage practicing mathematics topics. Determines improved knowledge and placement in mathematics and the recommended mathematics course(s) needed for students' academic program. Examines topics such as goal setting and self-monitoring, learning styles, math anxiety, test preparation, problem-solving, note taking, time management, and general strategies for learning.
