This participation ensemble continues the Midland tradition of sacred a cappella singing. Students develop ensemble skills and have the opportunity to publicly perform representative choral music from the Renaissance to the present. The Midland Lutheran College Choir consists of a mixed-voice group of men and women. Credit may also be granted for performing in the Chapel Choir.

Each topic defines the terms/problems of the area of study, identifies specific composers and/or compositions and the aesthetic climate in which they arose, and evaluates the composer and composition in terms of their impact on the world of art and society. The students confront aesthetic questions and become equipped to continue to appreciate the arts beyond the classroom experience.
